What age can my child start dance classes?
We welcome dancers from age 3 right through to 10 and beyond. Classes are grouped by age and ability, so your child will always be dancing alongside kids at a similar stage.
Do you offer a free trial class?
Yes, we do. We love new families to come and try a class before committing to anything. It’s a relaxed, no pressure way for your child to see if they enjoy it, and for you to see how our classes run.
What should my child wear to class?
For a trial class, comfortable clothes they can move in and bare feet or runners are perfectly fine. If they enrol ongoing, we’ll let you know what uniform or dancewear is needed for their specific class.
What dance styles do you teach?
We offer a range of styles including ballet, jazz, and hip hop, depending on age group. If you’re not sure which style suits your child, just ask us and we can point you in the right direction.
How long are the classes and how often are they on?
Classes generally run for 45 minutes to an hour depending on age group, once a week. This gives kids enough time to learn and have fun without it feeling too long for little attention spans.
My child is shy. Will they be okay in a group class?
Absolutely. Many of our dancers start out shy, and our teachers are experienced at helping kids settle in gently. Dance is actually one of the best ways for quieter kids to build confidence over time, in a supportive group environment.
How much do classes cost?

Do you require a term commitment, or can we enrol anytime?
You can enrol at any time throughout the year. We understand life is busy, so we try to make joining as easy as possible whenever suits your family.
Is there an end of year concert or performance?
Yes, we hold an end of year concert where all our dancers get to show off what they’ve learned throughout the year in front of family and friends. It’s a highlight for a lot of our students and parents.
Where is your studio located and do you service the Kilsyth South area?
We’re based right here in Kilsyth South, and we welcome families from all the surrounding suburbs too, including Croydon, Mooroolbark, and Bayswater.
